As an outcome of a ‘Work Safe Victoria’ court case on the importance of height safety for workers within this industry Green Works Managing Director, Jason Crawshaw, became aware of the company’s responsibility to personnel and to customers to have a trade-qualified climber and a trained rescue person on-site when required. After applying the hierarchy of safety control measures throughout the business, we discovered a mechanical device that could access confined spaces — eliminating most of the higher-risk human elements.

Green Works also realised that domestic customers are becoming more aware of the potential financial risk if something goes wrong during a tree lopping or removal job. They too started considering this when evaluating a quote.

After eight years of delivering professional tree care services to Local Government, Green Works had to reevaluate how it was delivering tree pruning/removal services at height.
