Green Works Ensures Compliance
For All Health and Safety Issues
Green Works Tree Care takes health and safety very seriously. Each team member is fully qualified, having received training and certificates from accredited organisations. These include comprehensive arboricultural and horticulture studies as well as rigorous training in chainsaw, chemical, work platform safety and much more.
Older and certain tree species can drop branches without any obvious reason, so pruning rids the tree of old, dead, or infected limbs. Whereas cheap tree loppers offer to prune, often without correct insurances or methods, Green Works Tree Care maintain and prune trees safely, with either hand or pole pruning, an elevated work platform, or spikeless climbing.
Green Works understands the necessity of public access in parks and other public places, which is why we take every precaution necessary to ensure work is done with minimal disruption. Areas are cordoned off to ensure public safety and work is completed following all relevant guidelines.
All Green Works staff members are trained in uniform traffic control devices allowing us to work safely by the roadside. We can also organise full road closures with preferred suppliers when needed.
Although rare, accidents do happen in this line of work. Because of this, every member of the Green Works staff is trained in first aid and at least one worker in every team will have the current Senior First Aid Certificate.
All incidents are recorded and analysed in line with our WH&S and risk management strategy. Customer safety and satisfaction are our primary objectives.
The purpose of the Queensland Arboricultural Association Inc. (QAA) is to preserve, protect, maintain and enhance the environmental, aesthetic and recreational value of trees, and to promote and enhance Arboricultural practices and management within the State of Queensland.

Green Works’ management takes full responsibility for creating a safe working environment. They ensure checks are made for all machinery, and that all members of the team are fully trained for the tasks at hand as well as reporting any incidents. While we always strive to get the job done quickly, we never take shortcuts that may risk anyone’s safety.
While members of management have a strong influence on workplace safety, it’s down to each individual employee to make sure these health and safety procedures are followed. This includes following all training protocols and management instructions, wearing appropriate items of protective clothing and using all equipment in the correct manner.
